The College of Journalism and Mass Communications hosted a daylong discussion on how journalists can effectively cover the news during the Trump administration.
"The Media and Politics symposium delved into issues of the presidency and the media, spanning a historical overview of the relationship between the White House and the press to discussion of law, access, the appropriation of the Trump image for international advertising campaigns, and even computer-generated stories,” said Dean Maria Marron. “Feedback has been very positive about the event.”
The event, “Media & Politics: President Trump and Journalism” was held on Nov. 10 and featured speakers from national media outlets Chartbeat, ABC news and POLITICO as well as researchers and educators from the University of Nebraska.
