National Extension Award to Kathleen Lodl
Kathleen Lodl received the National Extension Award for the North Central Region at the annual meeting of the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities. The award is jointly sponsored by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture and the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy. This award was created six years ago, and UNL Extension faculty have received the award in five of the six years. Previous UNL Extension recipients include Rick Koelsch, Fred Baxendale, Rick Rasby, and John Defrain. Congratulations to Kathleen for achieving this national recognition!
Joint NCEA/UNL Extension Fall Conference
The third joint fall conference between the Nebraska Cooperative Extension Association and UNL Extension was held in Kearney this past week. Congratulations to the planning committee for developing a conference that attracted more than 300 participants. Action teams continued work on refining signature outcomes and all participants had ample opportunity to participate in professional development opportunities. Board of Regent Chair, Bob Whitehouse addressed the conferees and shared the importance of Extension in making the 500 mile campus real for Nebraskans. One of the highlights of the joint program was presentation of the Extension and NCEA awards. Award recipients include:
