We have set three new dates for Navigating Difference (ND) Multicultural and Diversity Training.
September 20 & 21, 2018 - Grand Island, NE
October 23 & 24, 2018 - Scottsbluff, NE
February 26 & 27, 2019 - Lincoln, NE
We encourage faculty and staff to register as soon as possible for this training. The registration is limited to 25 participants. Once registered and closer to the training date, you will receive more information about ND, the IDI instrument and coaching.
Navigating Difference is a training designed to increase cultural competence in five areas identified as essential for Extension professionals, namely cultural awareness, cultural understanding, cultural interaction and cultural sensitivity. Three additional modules tackles issue of cultural knowledge, privilege/power, and communications. In addition, workshop attendees will compete the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI®). This instrument is a cross-cultural assessment of your personal level of intercultural competence.
