The annual Pound Lecture will be delivered by Sanford Levinson, professor of law at the University of Texas, at noon, March 7 in the College of Law. The lecture, "Is Government by 'Reflection and Choice' a One-Time Experience," is free and open to the public.

For the talk, Levinson will focus on how Alexander Hamilton, in the Federalist No. 1, emphasized the opportunity for Americans to engage in unfettered "reflection and choice" about the system of government they wish to live under. Levinson will discuss what Hamilton's argument means today and when issued in 1787.
