An Afternoon of Choirs takes over Kimball Recital Hall

An Afternoon of Choirs, featuring three choirs from the Glenn Korff School of Music at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will take center stage on Sunday, March 15 at 3 p.m. in Kimball Recital Hall.

The event will begin with the University Women’s Chorale, conducted by Therees Hibbard, as they will be performing six pieces including Gloria by Ola Gjeilo and Zions Walls by Aaron Copland.

The All-Collegiate Choir, conducted by Matthew Armstrong, will then perform seven songs including Ave Maria by Javier Busto and Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye by Cole Porter.

The Varsity Men’s Chorus, conducted by Pete Eklund, will then conclude the afternoon with six songs including Darest Thou Now, O Soul by Charlie Leftridge, with text by Walt Whitman.

Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3 for students/seniors. The performance will also be live webcast. Visit music.unl.edu the day of the event for the live link.
