UNL Symphony Orchestra performance coming up on Sunday, Dec. 13

The Glenn Korff School of Music UNL Symphony Orchestra program on Sunday, December 13 at 3 p.m. includes the Symphony No. 2 in B minor by Alexander Borodin, Pavane by Gabriel Faure, the Pavane for a Dead Princess by Maurice Ravel, and the Carmen Suite No. 1 by Georges Bizet. Conducting will be Tyler White, UNL Director of Orchestras and graduate associate conductors Aaron Beaver, Anna-Maria Gkouni, and David Galant.

Members of the Symphony Orchestra, directed by Tyler White, include students from throughout the university. The ensemble’s objectives are to prepare and present a wide variety of repertoire including chamber, symphonic, and operatic masterworks, and to maintain professional standards of musicianship and etiquette within a collegial and supportive educational atmosphere.
