Apply for NebraskaSTEM, a Noyce Master Teaching Fellow program, by April 15

Increase student interest and success in STEM by enhancing your knowledge of integrated STEM teaching and learning. Apply for NebraskaSTEM— a new, 5-year elementary STEM degree and professional development program for teachers, funded by the National Science Foundation. To be eligible for NebraskaSTEM, you must be a current elementary teacher in a rural Nebraska, high-needs school, who is passionate about innovative STEM education and teacher leadership.

YEAR 1: Earn a master’s in integrated STEM for elementary teaching for free. Full tuition and fees are covered, including living/travel expenses during on-campus coursework. Courses this summer in-person are June 11-29.

YEARS 2-5: Participate in professional development and leadership activities, and receive a $10,500 annual stipend.

Deadlines:
APRIL 15: Take GRE or Praxis II Subject Assessments: Mathematics subtest (#5003) and Science subtest (#5005); unless you have scores since 2008
MAY 1: Submit Application Online
MAY 15: Notification of Acceptance
JUNE 11: Summer Classes Begin
