McFarland will present on libraries, genealogy March 20

"Genealogy Research and the University Libraries" is the topic for a presentation 10:30 a.m. March 20 by Tom McFarland, Staff Development Officer and Genealogist at University Libraries. The program is in the ESC on first floor of Love Library South.

McFarland's talk will help attendees gain an understanding of materials and collections within the University Libraries that will be useful to genealogical and historical research, with an emphasis on electronic resources and historical collections.

Through April 24, University Libraries will offer free weekly workshops that are open to students, faculty, staff and the public. All are Tuesdays from 10:30-11:30 in the ESC on first floor of Love Library South.

Presenters are library subject specialists who also publish on a variety of information-related topics.
