Marathon training classes offered

UNL Campus Rec is offering two 17-week classes beginning Jan. 15 and 17 to help students and Campus Rec members train for a full or half marathon. The comprehensive running program is for individuals of all running/fitness levels who want to run a race.

The 17-week program includes:

• weight training
• nutrition
• techniques and injury prevention
• motivation and goal setting
• technical running shirt and water bottle
• weekly group runs
• Yoga for Athletes class (four times weekly)

Class 1 is Jan. 15 to April 15 and meets every Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Campus Rec Center. Class 2 is Jan. 17 to May 2 and meets every Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Campus Rec Center. The yoga sessions will be held at varied times throughout each week.
