'Health Care 101' comes to residence halls

University Health Center (UHC) will host "Health Care 101" sessions to educate UNL students about being a wise health care consumer. Sessions will be held in various residence halls at 5 p.m., Oct. 11-12, 19-20. "Health Care 101" is presented as part of the UHC health care literacy campaign.

The sessions will discuss why health care providers ask certain questions, how to schedule an appointment, the importance of being on time, continuity of medical care and how to use the UHC.

"Health Care 101" will be held on these dates at the following locations:

Oct. 11: Abel/Sandoz Welcome Center - Mari's Lounge
Oct. 12: HSS conference rooms - HSS dining hall
Oct. 19: CPN - Neihardt blue TV lounge
Oct. 20: Selleck - Presidential dining room

These talks will be presented by UHC providers and nurses.
