The UNL Chamber Singers will explore new virtuoso choral works that demonstrate and awesome versatility of the human voice at its March 1 "Inspiration & Innovation" performance at St. Mark’s on Campus at 7:30 p.m.

From ethereal Eastern Orthodox-inspired music for antiphonal choir to visceral, throbbing Hindu chant to a gospel-tinged arrangement of “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” this concert will take you on a unique musical journey unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

Directed by Matthew Oltman, the Chamber Singers is the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s premiere vocal chamber ensemble. A small choir of 16-20 voices, it is intended to provide the highest level of choral chamber performance experience for graduate and undergraduate singers at the Glenn Korff School of Music and throughout the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

The performance is free and open to the public.
