The August meeting of the OLLI Talkin' Baseball interest group will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at the Northside Cafe on the corner of N. 48th St. and St. Paul. All OLLI members who enjoy baseball are welcome to attend. There's no need to register: Just show up for conversation and pie.
Topics to discuss this month will include:
• Trading deadline moves. Winners and losers.
• A debate between our Cleveland Indian fans and our Kansas City Royals followers over the AL Central race.
• Did David Glass and Dayton Moore make the right decision to go all in for another run at the World Series.
• How about the Cubs giving a World Series ring to Steve Bartman.
• Adrian Beltre joins the 3,000 hit club.
