If your student is planning to study abroad or vacation overseas this summer, the University Health Center Travel Clinic can prepare them to have a safe and healthy experience.

The Health Center’s medical professionals certified in travel health analyze students’ travel itineraries to ensure they receive all the immunizations required by the country they’ll visit and provide prescriptions for prophylaxis if needed. Patients also receive advice on how to stay healthy while traveling, with an emphasis on insect protection, traveler diarrhea and high altitude sickness prevention.

Many immunizations require at least 14 days prior to travel to be effective, so be sure to have your student schedule their appointment early. Appointments can be made by calling 402.472.5000.
