Do you know your student’s priority registration date?

The spring semester is already halfway through, and with that students are beginning to schedule their fall classes. Priority registration for fall 2018 classes began March 26, and continues through April 11. Do you know when your student’s registration date is? Ask them if they have checked on MyRed to ensure they sign up for fall classes at the proper date and time. Students may still register for classes after their priority registration date/time, but will have the most course options available to them by registering for classes right away.

Students should also meet with their academic advisor to discuss course selection before the priority registration date/time. Academic advisors will help your student plan courses that keep them on track for graduation and fit with their academic goals. Visit the Academic Advising website and select your students' college to learn more about how they can set up an appointment with an academic advisor.

Lastly, if your student is interested in taking summer courses, they can search and register for classes now through MyRed! If your student has any questions about class registration, or if they need help deciding on their major before they register, encourage them to set up an appointment at the Explore Center. The center can help them research new majors and find the classes that best fit their interests.
