SNR’s Water Seminar Series will be hosting an event this week on Wednesday, February 6 at 3:30 p.m. in the Hardin Hall first floor auditorium.

Dr. George Huffman of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration will be discussing “Global Precipitation in the 21st Century.”

Dr. Huffman works with the Precipitation Measurement Missions at NASA, whose “missions study rainfall and other types of precipitation around the globe.” Dr. Huffman’s own work frequently focuses on the use of satellites and algorithms to estimate and calculate global precipitation.

This seminar is part of the Williams Memorial Lecture series, which honors the memory of the late Alan G. and Irene Williams, graduates of the University of Nebraska.
