Dates and locations of training classes now available for those wanting to become Nebraska Master Naturalists

Program Coordinator Annabel Lee Major has finalized the dates and locations of training classes for those wanting to become Nebraska Master Naturalists. They are:
o June 16—June 22 at Niobrara Valley Preserve near Ainsworth
o July 14—July 20 at Pioneers Park & Spring Creek near Lincoln
o August 10—August 16 at Fort Robinson near Chadron
o September 8—September 14 at Niobrara Valley Preserve near Ainsworth

Reservations for training dates can be made now. Registration is $250. Scholarship information is now available. At some locations, room and board options may be possible, so please inquire.

The Nebraska Master Naturalist Program is an adult conservation and environmental education program offered by University of Nebraska Extension. The program combines indoor presentations and hands-on field experiences to teach conservation volunteers about Nebraska's natural resources. A Certified NEBRASKA Master Naturalist has received 60 hours of in-depth outdoor and classroom training through topics including Nebraska Ecosystems, Plants, Animals, History, Conservation, and much more.
