Congratulations go out to SNR’s Mary Bomberger Brown for receiving the Nebraska Bird Partnership’s Outstanding Bird Conservation Award for 2013. Bomberger Brown, Research Assistant Professor and Translational Ecology Specialist at SNR, received the award for her leadership with the Tern and Plover Conservation Partnership as well as for her body of research. The nomination committee pointed to her effective and consistent work in the area of bird conservation as a foundational element of their support, saying “there are few individuals that can be cited for making real and meaningful contributions both to on-the-ground conservation efforts and at the highest levels of science and academia in a lifetime; Dr. Brown routinely does this on a daily basis.”

SNR lauds you, Mary, for your fantastic accomplishment. Hearty congratulations.
