Mueller Planetarium at the University of Nebraska State Museum in Morrill Hall will light up with laser light shows on Feb. 7 and 8.

Brilliant laser graphics and abstract images set to the hits of the Beatles, U2 and Pink Floyd will fill Nebraska's first fulldome digital projection theater in separate shows for each classic rock group:

• Beatles, 7 p.m. (40 minutes) -- Featuring 15 Beatles classics, such as "Hard Day's Night," "I Wanna Hold Your Hand," "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," "Yesterday" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," this is considered the most spellbinding Beatles laser show.

• U2, 8 p.m. (45 minutes) -- Spanning three decades, songs like "Where the Streets Have No Name," "Beautiful Day," "Desire" and "Vertigo" are brilliantly illustrated in vibrant laser light.

• Laser Pink Floyd, 9 p.m. (50 minutes; not suitable for children) -- The ultimate fusion of classic rock music and dancing coherent light. Drift weightlessly among haunting laser landscapes and 3-D laser renderings as you experience such classics as "One of These Days," "Comfortably Numb," "Money" and "Wish You Were Here."

Morrill Hall is one block south of 14th and Vine streets on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln City Campus.

Admission to the laser shows is $8 for non-members (all ages); $7 for Friends of the Museum members (with ID card). Tickets will be sold at the front desk both days of the show. Regular Morrill Hall hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The doors will re-open at 6:30. The museum's exhibits will not be open during the evening laser shows.
