"I feel very honored to be recognized for contributions to research and teaching in science education through the Omtvedt Innovation Award," Gosselin said. "Over the past 20 years, I have had the opportunity to work with some great colleagues who have helped me develop my understanding of how people learn and develop teamwork."

Gosselin was presented with the award on Sept. 3 at the IANR All-Hands Meeting.

"UNL, and specifically IANR, has allowed me to develop synergy between my educational, administrative and leadership activities with my passion for teaching and coaching students," Gosselin said. "I look forward to continuing my work on developing educational environments that help others maximize their abilities to be successful."

The Omtvedt Innovation Award was made possible through the generosity of Leone Harlan and her late husband, Neal, in honor of Dr. Irv Omtvedt and his distinguished career at the University of Nebraska.
