The Collegiate Farm Bureau is partnering with the Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska to host a food dialogue where students will share their thoughts and ideas about food production, genetically modified organisms, livestock production affecting climate change and animal welfare.

The event will be at 6 p.m., Nov. 5, in the Great Plains room of the East Union. All students and faculty are welcome, and refreshments will be provided.

"Food experts have spoken on campus before, but this is one of the first times that students will be able to share their opinions on how the next generation of agriculturalist will continue to produce a safe and abundant food supply," said Lukas Fricke, vice president of programs for the Collegiate Farm Bureau. "The panel of students will represent a diverse group of student organizations on campus. We are excited to host a dialogue that we hope will encourage students to share more of their opinions."

The Collegiate Farm Bureau is a student organization that is dedicated to serving as the "Voice of Agriculture on Campus" through a wide variety of education, service and advocacy efforts. For more information about the bureau, visit its Facebook page.

The Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska is a non-profit organization formed by leading agricultural membership groups.
