The non-credit American Red Cross courses review and instruct procedures for adult choking and CPR training, as well as Automatic External Defibrilator use. AED is a device used to supplement CPR when a victim has no evidence of circulation. Completed training of the one-day course provides students with a two-year American Red Cross certification.

Sessions will be held at the Campus Rec Center, Room 230, and fees are $60 for UNL students or Campus Rec members and $75 for the general public.

Registrations are accepted up until the day of the courses online at the link below or in person at the Campus Rec Member Services Desk. Large group trainings for UNL departments or community organizations are also offered by Campus Rec at a variable rate.

American Red Cross courses can also be arranged for groups of 10 or more.

For more information on an arranged course, please contact Vicki Highstreet at 402-472-4771 or vhighstreet2@unl.edu. These courses are listed online at http://crec.unl.edu/recclasses/outreach.shtml.

The CPR/AED/First Aid training is also available for one credit hour and can be found on MyRed under FITN160. Students interested in this course may sign up directly through MyRed.
