Dr. David Wishart teaches the Seminar in Historical Geography, Settling and Unsettling the Great Plains.
The seminar concerns the way Native Americans traditionally lived in and shaped the Great Plains, their dispossession in the Nineteenth Century (and now continuing), and the resettlement of the region by Europeans and Americans, resulting in the geography seen today. Dr. Wishart says "this course is for anyone interested in any aspect of the Great Plains, we really cover it all".
The course will be offered in the Fall of 2016 with the Hardin Hall room and time to be arranged to suit all students in the course.
