The 1-credit course, “Wildlife Management Techniques Lab”, NRES 433L, has been changed to “Wildlife Field Techniques”, NRES 233.

Dr. Larkin Powell will continue to teach the course at Cedar Point Biological Station over Fall Break. Additionally, the course is now open to sophomores or juniors.

The course includes training in mark-recapture, radio-telemetry, wildlife and vegetation surveys, and other skills that will be useful earlier in students’ careers. The goal is to have SNR students ready to apply for internships after initial field training in this course. Students may still find the class listed as NRES 433L on MyRed for a few weeks until the number change is made in the Registrar’s Office.
