A retirement reception for Gerald Hillmann will be 2-4 p.m. March 14, in the auditorium at Facilities Management Shops, 942 N. 22nd St. The reception is free and open to the public.
Hillmann is an electrician and a zone assistant for Building Systems Maintenance. He started at Facilities in November 1972 as a maintenance mechanic and he has been doing electrical work at UNL for nearly 40 years.
Hillmann’s first project in retirement will be building a greenhouse on the family farmstead. He is also in the process of remodeling his family home and looks forward to traveling more to show off his blacksmithing skills.
