March 30 Hyde Lecture features Urban Future Organization director

The College of Architecture's Hyde Lecture Series continues with Jonas Lundberg at 4:30 p.m., March 30 at the Ross Media Arts Center. Lundberg is a member and director in Urban Future Organization, an international architecture office and design research collaborative.

Lundberg has lectured in Europe, the United States and Asia and his work with Urban Future Organization has been widely published and exhibited.

To date, successes include the international competition winning proposal for the Sarajevo National Concert Hall and first prizes in the Castelmola Art Museum and the Mount Etna North Ski resort competitions. Urban Future Organization has exhibited its work at the Venice Biennale, the Beijing Biennale, and the 2010 Shanghai Expo. The work of Urban Future Organization was featured by Zaha Hadid in 10X10 v. 2 as one of the most interesting and contemporary young practices. The organization operates as a network, including members in Australia, China, Greece, Italy, Korea, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Scandinavia, Turkey, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Lundberg is currently Unit Master for Dip 16 at the Architectural Association and teaches at London Metropolitan University and Chalmers University of Technology. Lundberg has also taught graduate design studios at UCL’s Bartlett School and the University of Greenwich. He holds a BArch from the University of Kansas and a graduate diploma from the Architectural Association.
