Chancellor Harvey Perlman will deliver his 13th State of the University annual address to faculty, staff, students and interested visitors on Sept. 11. The address begins at 11 a.m. at the Lied Center for Performing Arts, 301 N. 12th St.

The speech traditionally outlines university priorities for the upcoming year while addressing major accomplishments during the previous academic year. It will be streamed live at http://www.unl.edu and televised on NebSat 105, Campus Channel 4, Lincoln Cable Channel 21 and broadcast on KRNU Radio (90.3 FM). Shuttles (Bus 24) from East Campus to the Lied Center will run from Burr-Fedde, Ag Hall, Animal Science and the College of Law, returning from the Temple Building.

The university’s annual employee service awards precede the address and an all-university picnic in the Sheldon Gardens will follow it.

Construction has cleared and so streets will be closed on 12th between Q and R streets and R between 12th and 13th streets to accommodate the picnic.
