Hypnotist performs at East Union on Jan. 18

Hypnotist Jim Wand will perform back-to-back shows at 7 and 9 p.m. Jan. 18 in the East Union's Great Plains Room. The event, organized by the University Program Council, is free for UNL students (with a valid NCard) and $5 for all others.

Wand, who has a doctorate in psychology, has been involved in the field of hypnosis for more than 25 years. He is regarded as one of the most professional hypnotic entertainers in the world. A well-known entertainer for college students, Wand has also worked with such personalities as Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Carrot Top, Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Probst, Sylvester Stallone, George Strait and The Judds. Wand has also appeared on numerous television programs.

The University Program Council is a student organization that provides diverse, educational and entertaining programs and events to enhance the UNL community. UPC acts as the executive body responsible for the implementation of programs and activities funded by University Programs and Facilities Fees.
