Three online programs among U.S. News rankings

Three of UNL's online programs are among the top 200 of their respective categories in the U.S. News 2013 Best Online Education Program rankings.

The online Masters of Business Administration program offered in the College of Business Administration ranked 17 out of 148 programs. The program is second among Big Ten universities.

Other UNL programs among the top 200 surveyed by U.S. News are: online graduate education, ranked 110th; and online bachelor's programs, ranked 135th.

For each category, U.S. News sent statistical questionnaires to all applicable institutions in the United States. Programs were scored in several areas under the main categories of: student engagement (50 percent of the ranking); faculty credentials and training (25 percent of the ranking); and student services and technology (25 percent of the ranking).

The rankings were released Jan. 15. This is the second year U.S. News and World Report has rated online education programs.
