UNL will bring country stars Josh Gracin and DJ Miller to campus to help the Huskers celebrate their first homecoming in the Big Ten Conference.

The show begins at 8 p.m. Oct. 6 at the East Campus Mall and is free and open to all UNL students. The Nebraska East Union Great Plains Room will serve as the alternate location in case of inclement weather.

Gracin hails from Michigan, and began singing at age 12. He had his musical breakthrough as a fan favorite on the second season of "American Idol." After completing his service with the U.S. Marine Corps, Gracin transitioned fully into his new role as a full-time recording artist. He released his debut, self-titled album in 2004 with its single, "Nothin' to Lose," rising all the way to the top of the country charts. Gracin is preparing to release his third album, "Redemption," in November and its first single, "Over Me," has already gained much critical and fan acclaim.

Since watching Garth Brooks concerts on television as a child, Miller knew he wanted to be a country star. At age 21, he's well on his way to achieving that goal. His unique blend of stage presence and energy are sure to be a hit with Husker fans. "It's always important to make that person in the front row feel special," says Miller, "but the real key is making that person in the back row feel just as special."

ASUN Student Government, Campus NightLife, the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, KX 96.9, Pepsi Endowment Fund, Residence Life on behalf of Residence Hall Association, Student Affairs, Student Involvement, and University Program Council collaborated to present the homecoming concert.
