The Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management at UNL presents Barry Uphoff, who will provide a spectrum of insights into understanding and pursuing successful entrepreneurship and innovation.
Uphoff will visit Oct. 7 at Kauffman Center; from 3 to 4 p.m. he will present “A Portfolio of Entrepreneurs and Innovation," and from 4 to 5 p.m., will be featured at a reception with students and the Raikes School Corporate Advisory Board.
Uphoff is Managing Principal at Capricorn Investment Group and has more than two decades of experience managing private equity, credit and hedge funds. He earned a bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University with highest honors and Phi Beta Kappa distinction. He read for a Diploma in Law and an MSc in Medicine at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar and received an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. Uphoff is a native Nebraskan who now lives in Palo Alto.
