All new or pre-tenure faculty are invited to a workshop on evaluation, promotion and tenure processes from 3:30-5 p.m., Oct. 13 in the Kauffman Center Great Hall. Participants will learn about department, college and university level protocols. Register by e-mailing jjackson3@unl.edu by Oct. 12.
The workshop, "Evaluation of Faculty: Rights, Requirements, Expectations," is sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs. Presenters will be Helen Moore, Aaron Douglas Professor of Sociology, and Giacomo M. Oliva, Dean of the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts. Strategies for organizing and managing evaluation materials will be discussed. Each participant in the free workshop will receive a copy of "Preparing for Promotion, Tenure and Annual Review: A Faculty Guide" by Robert Diamond.
