Learn about UNL's new client device management tools in a technical discussion on October 16 at 11:30 a.m. in the City Union. All campus IT staff are invited. Product features, implementation and migration strategies will be outlined.

Following an RFP and review process, UNL chose Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to manage Windows devices and JAMF's Casper Suite for Mac. The two tools will replace Dell's KACE product. The contract for KACE expires in December.

"We're very pleased with these new tools going forward," says David DeFruiter, DIrector, ITS Enterprise Desktop Services. "SCCM has evolved, adding many more features since we first used it at UNL. Casper has been used very successfully by David Bagby in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine & Performing Arts. We are thankful for the opportunity to build on that experience and scale this to the campus."
