The Computer Help Center Repair Shop now offers iPad repairs for:
• iPads covered by the Apple Limited Warranty (one year from date of purchase).
• AppleCare+ warranty (adds one year of warranty coverage, plus up to two incidents of accidental damage each subject to a $49 service fee plus tax).
• Out of warranty iPads, or for iPads that have been accidentally damaged from being dropped or having liquid spilled on (or in!) them.
Out of warranty repair prices depend on the amount of repair work required to make the iPad operational again, and the specific model of iPad.
Prices start at $129.00 to replace a cracked glass panel; departmental iPads with an approved Cost Center number pay no tax. A recent repair to replace a cracked glass panel and damaged digitizer cost $159.00 plus tax, and took four business days to complete.
These rates compare favorably to Apple’s iPad repair rates that range from $219.00 to $299.00 to repair accidental damage.
