UNL guest, conference and eduroam WiFi networks will be modified to provide a common experience to campus guests accessing UNL resources from both on and off campus. UNL is removing restrictions that limit access to UNL resources, effective the week of May 10. Currently, users are barred from accessing selected UNL resources from the three SSIDs as a security precaution.
“Once the work is completed, access to a particular UNL resource will be determined by the application and not the network SSID”, says Matthew Long, ITS network security specialist. Each SSID will be modified and tested beginning with UNL-CONFERENCE on Monday, May 10, UNL-GUEST on May 11, followed by eduroam on May 12.
