Latest IT Security issues at SIG, July 19

The ITS Security Special Interest Group (SIG) will outline the security initiatives pertaining to the use of Box and the storage of data within the cloud-based system.

The ITS Security Special Interest Group (SIG) will outline the security initiatives pertaining to the use of Box and the storage of data within the cloud-based system, July 19 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., in the Nebraska Union Heritage room. Box storage decisions are based on UNL data security classifications. The group will also discuss how to help new ECommerce sites utilize the existing services provided, new processes being implemented, and important talking points for the IT staff to know and take back to their departments.

The Security SIG is for individuals interested in discussing issues and projects with UNL’s Information Security team. While the topic is technical in nature, the meeting is open to all faculty and staff.

This month’s meeting will cover:
• Box Security and data storage
• ECommerce and PCI DSS Compliance
• Q & A
