The University of Nebraska–Lincoln's Information Technology Services Learning and Emerging Technology team released its new classroom designer earlier this month to help departments and administrators create and visualize new classroom and renovation designs.
The web-based tool is designed to give users an idea of furniture and layout options when constructing or remodeling classrooms and learning spaces. While the designer is not meant to provide an exact mock-up of the final product, the color palates and furniture styles featured represent the options approved by the university and can provide guidance in generating learning space ideas.
