Explore Horticulture set for Nov. 9

High school or college transfer students interested in horticulture at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln will have an opportunity to learn more about the major starting at 3:30 p.m., Nov. 9, at the Explore Horticulture event held on East Campus.

Students will learn about the degree options available in the horticulture major from the faculty who teach and advise students. Faculty presenting include Associate Professor Kim Todd on the Landscape Design and Management Option, Assistant Professor Sam Wortman on the Specialty Crop Production Option, Design Your Own Option and the & Science Emphasis, Associate Professor of Practice David Lambe on the Entrepreneurship Option and Associate Professor of Practice Stacy Adams on the Plant and Landscape Systems Option.

Current horticulture students Morgan Von Seggern and Kaitlin Taylor will talk about the Horticulture Club activities.

Tours of the classrooms, greenhouses and teaching gardens will be available in addition to a tour of East Campus.

Professor Ellen Paparozzi will host a Coke-tail Party on a Pepsi Campus for attendees to interact with current students, additional horticulture faculty and industry partners and to learn about internship opportunities and career paths of recent graduates.
