Nebraska to host SASES

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Agronomy Club will host the Students of Agronomy, Soils, and Environmental Sciences regional conference, Where Agriculture Meets Innovation, April 12–14 in Lincoln. SASES is the student organization of the American Society of Agronomy.

More than 250 students from across the United States are expected to attend this three-day event for undergraduate students in agronomy, soils and environmental studies. This will be an opportunity for students to network with others who share an interest in agriculture and learn about Nebraska agricultural industry through speakers and tours.

The SASES business meeting with take place April 14 at the Eastern Nebraska Research and Extension Center near Mead, Nebraska.

Agronomy Club Representatives are undergraduate students Samantha Teten, Shawn McDonald, Katie Harrell, Kolby Grint, Rodger Farr and Moriah Heerten. Agronomy Club Advisors are Chris Proctor, assistant extension educator, and Meghan Sindelar, agronomy and horticulture assistant professor of practice.
