WARI promotes research links with India

2016 WARI Fellow Rajesh Singh works with water samples inside the laboratory of his mentor, Daugherty Water for Food Global Institute Faculty Fellow Karrie Weber, associate professor in the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s School of Biological Sciences.The Department of Civil Engineering will be hosting two Water Advanced Research and Innovation fellows: Dr. Sandeep Kumar and Ipsita Nandi.

WARI brings students and professors from universities in India to the UNL to work with faculty mentors on urgent water quality challenges.

Shaobin Li earns Fling Fellowship

Shaobin LiPhD student Shaobin Li has earned the Maude Hammond Fling Fellowship from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Fling Fellowship is awarded to graduate students who have demonstrated the highest levels of academic potential and is one of UNL's most prestigious graduate honors.

 

New publications from Drs. Seunghee Kim, Jongwan Eun and Ron Faller

Dr. Seunghee Kim contributed to the chapter 'Emergent Phenomena: Challenges in Prediction and Monitoring Risk and Performance in GCS' in the book "Science of Carbon Storage in Deep Saline Formations". The book is set for publication July 2, 2018.

"Equivalent transport parameters for volatile organic compounds in coextruded geomembrane-containing ethylene-vinyl alcohol", co-authored by Dr. Jongwan Eun, will be published in the July edition of 'Journal of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering'.

"Vehicle-to-Barrier Communication During Real-World Vehicle Crash Tests", co-authored by Dr. Ron Faller, was published in the May edition of 'Computer Communications'.
