The very end of May and the first couple of days of June saw a gathering of titans right here on the grounds of the PGA Golf Management Program at UNL! UNL played host to the annual Spring Meeting of all PGA Golf Management Universities along with the education staff from the PGA of America.
The meetings kicked off (pun intended) with a great tour of Memorial Stadium (complete with time on the field) and continued with the gathering of the Education Association.
Day one wrapped up with a great dinner at Wilderness Ridge. Day two featured meetings with representatives from all 18 PGAM Universities along with PGA Representatives: Cheri Tschetschot, PGA, Billy Ditchey, PGA, Dawes Marlatt, PGA, Cory Fletcher, PGA, John Easterbrook Jr., PGA (New Chief Membership Officer) and Paul Levy, PGA (Current President of the PGA of America).
Next up was a tour of the facilities at Wilderness Ridge under the direction of Chris Thomson (PGA) and a round of golf with perfect weather! Dinner on day two was held at Blue Blood’s Brewery and featured tours of Robber’s Cave.
The third day of the conference was held at Arbor Links in Nebraska City. Jeff Porter (PGA) and Gil Russell (PGA) allowed our group to hold its morning meetings in their facilities and in the afternoon we again experienced wonderful weather and great fellowship on an amazing golf course.
