The annual Kelbel Cup was held in Las Vegas on March 21-22. The schools that participated this year were the University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV), University of Idaho, New Mexico State University (NMSU), University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The Kelbel Cup recognizes the impact and contributions of PGA Golf Professional, Mr. Ed Kelbel. Each year the Cup is played provides an opportunity to reflect on this great man, who directed the program at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with wonderful grace and humility. Ed...thank you for all you taught us and for the amazing example of excellence that you lived out each day.

The competition for this year's event was a 6-person team event with a four-ball stroke play competition the first day and a 2-person scramble on the second day of the Cup. UNL took two teams this year with a total of 13 students traveling to Las Vegas during UNL's Spring Break. UNLV overcame a 12 stroke deficit, after the first day to win this year's Kelbel Cup.

Look for the Cup to make it's first appearance at UNL after the 2018 Kelbel Cup!
