21 ROTC cadets to receive military commissions at May 9 ceremony

Lincoln, Neb., May 7th, 2009 —

Twenty-one cadets in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln ROTC program will receive military commissions in a May 9 joint commissioning ceremony in the Nebraska Union, 1400 R St.

The ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium. It is free and open to the public.

Following is a list of candidates by hometown, with their service branch and the rank at which they will be commissioned.

NEBRASKA

Bellevue: 2nd Lt. Patrick L. Tims, Air Force.

Fullerton: 2nd Lt. James M. Small, Army.

Howells: 2nd Lt. Benjamin J. Faltys, Army.

Lincoln: 2nd Lt., Dain L. Miller, Army; 2nd Lt. Jason M. Teague, Army; 2nd Lt. Tommy N. Vu, Army; 2nd Lt. Christopher C. Wittwer, Air Force.
