Hypnotist Jim Wand to present 2 shows on Friday at Nebraska East Union

The University Program Council at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will present back-to-back shows featuring hypnotist Jim Wand at 7 and 9 p.m. on Jan. 18 in the Great Plains Room of the Nebraska East Union, Arbor and Center drives on East Campus. This event will be free for UNL students with a valid NCard and $5 for all others.
Wand, who has a doctorate in psychology, has been involved in the field of hypnosis for more than 25 years and is regarded as one of the most professional hypnotic entertainers in the world today. A well-known entertainer for college students, Wand has also worked with such personalities as Jay Leno, Chris Rock, Carrot Top, Larry the Cable Guy, Jeff Probst (the host of "Survivor"), Sylvester Stallone, George Strait and The Judds, just to mention a few. Wand has also appeared on numerous television programs, including a national FOX special titled "WOW," "The Judge Joe Brown Show," the Discovery Channel, Comedy Central, plus other appearances on FOX, ABC, NBC and CBS.
The University Program Council is a student organization that provides diverse, educational and entertaining programs and events to enhance the UNL community. UPC acts as the executive body responsible for the implementation of programs and activities funded by University Programs and Facilities Fees.
