Must be a Lancaster County 4-H alumni at least one year post-high school and has continued involvement in 4-H program as a leader or volunteer. A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Certification Workshop is scheduled for Oct. 10-11 at the Ashland Gun Club near Ashland. The deadline to register is Thursday, Oct. 1, 5 p.m. Volunteers have the opportunity to become certified as an adult or apprentice leader in the Shotgun discipline.

The Nebraska Make It With Wool Contest will be Saturday, Nov. 21 in Lexington at the Dawson County Extension Office. The contest is open to youth of all ages and adult sewers. Wool used to construct modeled garments must be at least 60% loomed, knitted, crocheted or felted wool fabric or yarn. Continue reading…
