4-H Achievement Celebration, Feb. 10

Lancaster County 4-H congratulates all 4-H youth who commit themselves to excellence!Join us in celebrating 4-H youth achievements on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 6:30pm at the Lancaster Extension Education Center. Light snack provided. 4-H members, clubs and volunteers receiving awards, scholarships or pins will be mailed detailed information.

4-H Summer Camps has locations at Gretna and Halsey.Lancaster County 4-H Council is offering a select number of full scholarships to attend a 4-H summer camp at either of the two Nebraska 4-H Camp locations: Gretna or Halsey. The two 4-H Camps in Nebraska are currently accepting applications for summer staff. The camps offer outstanding opportunities for young adults to learn leadership skills, gain valuable experience for future careers and make lasting memories. Need not be in 4-H to apply.

Spring Rabbit Show, March 21

In showmanship classes, youth are judged on presentation and knowledge of animal. In rabbit classes, the rabbits are judged.All youth ages 8-18 are invited to the Spring Rabbit Show, March 21, 9 a.m. at the Lancaster Event Center - Exhibit Hall. Pick-A-Pig Club Accepting New Members

Pictured are 2014 Pick-A-Pig 4-H members with their young pigs shortly after they arrived at the local host farm. The Pick-A-Pig 4-H club is accepting new members for anyone who wants to learn about pork production and show a pig at the Lancaster County Super Fair. The club is open to all city and rural youth. For additional information, contact Harry Muhlbach at 402-430-7304. Deadline to join is March 15.
