4-H Speech & PSA 4-H Speech & Public Service Announcement (PSA) Contests are a great opportunity for youth to practice speaking in public. The Speech Contest will be March 19 at the Lancaster Extension Education Center -- register by March 13. Deadline for the PSA Contest is March 13.
The 4-H Spring Rabbit Show will be held Saturday, March 25, 9 a.m. at the Lancaster Event Center – Exhibit Hall. Registration will be 7:30–8:30 a.m.
Open to all youth ages 8–18. This is an opportunity to learn and practice your showmanship.
This year, there are 2 versions posted online (both are pdfs), 1) same as printed version and 2) with changes from last year's Fair Book indicated in green. The printed version is due to be mailed to families March 15.
Nebraska's "Spotlight on 4-H Newsletter" is packed with information and resources to educate, inform and motivate 4-H members and families. February and March issues are now online and being mailed to club leaders. Topics include: Disaster Kits, Utilizing Junior Leaders, Engineering a Hovercraft.
Nominations are now being accepted for the following awards, which will be recognized at the Super Fair VIP Luncheon on Thursday, Aug. 3: Ag Society Hall of Fame, Pioneer & Heritage Farm Awards (farm families who have held ownership of land for 100/150 years), and Good Neighbor Awards.
