Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Shotgun Leader Update Session Offered near Ashland – October 15th

A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Update Session is scheduled for mid-October near Ashland. It will be held October 15th, 9am to noon, at the Ashland Gun Club. The early bird deadline to register for the Update training is October 5th.

The time has come to provide an update for all Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Instructors who received their training in 2015 or before. Over the years there have been numerous curriculum changes, updates, and additions, with some major curriculum adjustments in the last few years.

These Update Sessions are for adult or apprentice 4-H volunteer instructors who have previously attended a 4-H instructor training workshop in 2015 or prior years. These are an update for existing instructors, NOT a training for new instructors. You MUST be a currently enrolled Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports volunteer leader in your county to attend.

Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Workshop Offered at Ashland

A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Workshop is scheduled for mid-October near Ashland. It will be held October 15-16 at the Ashland Gun Club near Ashland. The early bird deadline to register for the Ashland session is October 5th, 4 pm.

The 4-H Shooting Sports Ambassador Program is piloting a new format this fall. Ambassador training will be held in conjunction with instructor’s workshop, and there will not be an application process. However, there is a registration process, and up to eight teens will be accepted at each training session. Please help us recruit qualified teen leaders, ages 14-18, who are excelling in their shooting sports projects.

A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Update Session is scheduled for October near Nebraska City. It will be held Saturday, October 22nd, 9am to noon, at the Otoe County Wildlife Club. The early bird deadline to register for the Update training is October 12th.

The time has come to provide an update for all Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Instructors who received their training in 2015 or before. Over the years there have been numerous curriculum changes, updates, and additions, with some major curriculum adjustments in the last few years.

Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Certification Workshop Offered at Nebraska City

A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Certification Workshop is scheduled for October in Nebraska City. It will be held October 22-23 at the Otoe County Wildlife Club near Nebraska City. The early bird deadline to register for the workshop is October 12th.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to become certified as an adult (21 years and older) or apprentice (14-20 years old) leader. Five project areas will be offered at the Nebraska City Workshop - rifle, pistol, shotgun, coordinator, and archery.
