A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Update Session is scheduled for early October near Ashland. It will be held October 7th, 9am to noon, at the Ashland Gun Club. The early bird deadline to register for the Update training is September 27th.
The time has come to provide an update for all Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Instructors who received their training in 2017 or before. Over the years there have been numerous curriculum changes, updates, and additions, with some major curriculum adjustments in the last few years.

A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Certification Workshop is scheduled for early October near Ashland. It will be held October 7-8 at the Ashland Gun Club near Ashland. The early bird deadline to register for the Ashland session is September 27th, 5 pm.
Volunteers have the opportunity to become certified as an adult (21 years and older) or apprentice (14-20 years old) leader in the Shotgun discipline. There is a minimum number of participants required to offer this workshop. Workshop participants will learn under expert instruction from members of the Nebraska State 4-H Shooting Sports Training Team.

A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Certification Workshop is scheduled for late October in Kearney. It will be held October 28-29 at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney. The early bird deadline to register for the workshop is October 18th.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to become certified as an adult (21 years and older) or apprentice (14-20 years old) leader. Six project areas and ambassador training will be offered at the Kearney Workshop – coordinator, rifle, pistol, shotgun, hunting skills, archery, and ambassador. Ambassador training will be held in conjunction with instructor’s workshop and up to eight teens will be accepted at the training session. Please help recruit qualified teen leaders, ages 14-18, who are excelling in their shooting sports projects.
