A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Leader Update Session is scheduled for late October in Kearney. It will be held October 28th, 9am to noon, at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds. The early bird deadline to register for the Update training is October 18th.
The time has come to provide an update for all Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Instructors who received their training in 2017 or before. Over the years there have been numerous curriculum changes, updates, and additions, with some major curriculum adjustments in the last few years.
This Update Session is for adult or apprentice 4-H volunteer instructors who have previously attended a 4-H instructor training workshop in 2017 or prior years. This is an update for existing instructors, NOT a training for new instructors. You MUST be a currently enrolled Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports volunteer leader in your county to attend.

A Nebraska 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor Certification Workshop is scheduled for late October in Kearney. It will be held October 28-29 at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney. The early bird deadline to register for the workshop is October 18th.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to become certified as an adult (21 years and older) or apprentice (14-20 years old) leader. Six project areas and ambassador training will be offered at the Kearney Workshop – coordinator, rifle, pistol, shotgun, hunting skills, archery, and ambassador. Ambassador training will be held in conjunction with instructor’s workshop and up to eight teens will be accepted at the training session. Please help recruit qualified teen leaders, ages 14-18, who are excelling in their shooting sports projects.
