Communication and Mentorship

Interested in developing mentorship skills to be used in real life situations while furthering your education? COMM 392: Peer Mentoring in Communication Studies is now open for applicants!

Students in the course will learn how to effectively mentor their peers in communication competencies and gain experience as a peer mentor in the newly designed Communication Center.

Students interested in the Spring 2022 Peer Mentoring in Communication Studies Course should apply here: https://ssp.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5aurI3CMBkE60Bg

To be considered for enrollment, students must 1) be a communication studies major or minor 2) be a sophomore standing or higher 3) have completed, or plan to have completed by Spring 2022, at least 12 hours of Communication Studies Coursework (including COMM 101, COMM 209 or COMM 286) and received a B+ or higher in these courses.
Additional qualifications preferred include: Completion of COMM 283 (Interpersonal Communication) and/or completion of COMM 210 (Small Group Communication) with a B+ or higher.

All interested students should ensure they meet the requirements and complete the application (https://ssp.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5aurI3CMBkE60Bg) as soon as possible.
